Costumed Creature Crawl
Calling all creatures great and small! Bring your human DWNTWN and show off their creativity! All furry, feathered, scaled, hairy, or hairless costumed friends are welcome to join our pet parade through the streets of DWNTWN. Compete for prizes then explore DWTNWN and trick-or-treat at local businesses.

Fire Up DWNTWN
Fire Up DWNTWN is the summer event you don’t dare miss. Packed with engaging activities and attractions for the whole family, this two-day event will not only be fun, but over-the-top-hot! Not only will temperatures heat things up but with a mixture of hot air balloons, spicy foods, smokin’ ribs, and more, the season’s peak extravaganza couldn’t come soon enough.

IRONMAN 70.3 Muncie
Cheer on the athletes as they participate in one of the races of a lifetime! The event begins with a 1.2-mile swim in beautiful and historic Prairie Creek Reservoir followed by a very fast out-and-back bike course with 56 miles of closed state highways and country roads that wind through rural Delaware and Henry counties. Once off the bike, athletes are treated to a competitive 13.1 mile run around the south side of Prairie Creek Reservoir.
IRONMAN Weekend: Family Picnic in the Park
Bring the family to Canan Commons for an evening of food and games complete with a movie and popcorn! Engage in a friendly challenge with some yard games, enjoy cuisine from local food trucks from 6–9 pm, and by entertained by an outdoor screening of Iron Cowboy at 8 pm.

IRONMAN Weekend: Free Concert with Dave Bennett Quartet
The Dave Bennett Quartet presents an intense and emotional musical experience. Bennett and his band perform hard driving swing, rockabilly, jazz, pop, gospel, and original songs. Listeners will recognize the influences of Benny Goodman, Pete Fountain, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Beatles, Chris Isaak, Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins. Naptown Hepcats will open the show with their unique rockabilly sound paying tribute to Brian Setzer and Stray Cats.

Magic City Brewfest
Join us for an unforgettable celebration at the Magic City Brewfest on Saturday, April 6 from 2-6pm, before the Total Eclipse of the Heartland on April 8! The event will be held inside the Cornerstone Center for the Arts in the Colonade Room. Get ready for a day filled with craft beer, winery and distillery offerings, live music, artistic makers and an atmosphere that's nothing short of magical! The party will continue in the auditorium throughout the evening at the Magic City Music Fest, free to Brewfest attendees from 4pm-midnight.

Muncie and Delaware County are in the heart of “totality” for a once-in-a-lifetime event: a total solar eclipse! The City of Muncie, the Muncie Visitor’s Bureau, Academy of Model Aeronautics, DWNTWN Muncie, Muncie Public Library, and several other local businesses, including our friends at the Charles W. Brown Planetarium, are all looking forward to this time with us. As your host, we welcome all those who want to witness the eclipse at one of our prime viewing locations in Muncie & Delaware County.
St. Patrick's Day Parade
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with an exciting parade through the streets of DWNTWN, beginning at Muncie City Hall, traveling south on Walnut St to Charles St, and returning along Mulberry St.

at Canan Commons
Canan Commons, downtown Muncie’s exciting urban park located at 600 S Walnut St, hosts numerous community events each year. Equipped with an amphitheater stage and open space for gathering and recreation, this park is the heartbeat of DWNTWN events.
